About Trey Sones
Whiskey Creek Country Club is proudly partnered with Trey Sones in Fort Myers, Florida, where he provides professional golf instruction for players of all ages and skill levels.
A Class A PGA Teaching Professional, Trey discovered his passion for golf at the age of five, competing in junior tournaments across the United States before attending the University of Central Florida.
During his collegiate career, Trey earned four-time Collegiate All-American honors and achieved a 9th-place world amateur ranking before turning professional in 1995.

Experience & Mentorship
Over the years, Trey has been mentored by legendary figures such as Norrie Wright, David Leadbetter, and short game expert George Kelnhofer.
He has also served as a club professional at prestigious facilities including The Forest Country Club and Plantation. These experiences shaped his commitment to sharing his expertise with golfers of all skill levels.
Teaching Philosophy
Trey believes that while the golf swing is a simple movement, repeating it consistently can be challenging.
His teaching approach focuses on helping students understand the mechanics of the swing while remaining relaxed and confident. His goal is to make learning enjoyable and effective for every player.
