About Trey Sones
Trey Sones is a Class A PGA Teaching Professional at Whiskey Creek Country Club in Fort Myers, FL. His passion for golf began at age five, competing in junior tournaments across the United States before graduating from the University of Central Florida.
During college, he became a four-time Collegiate All-American and achieved a 9th place world ranking as an amateur before turning professional in 1995.

Experience & Mentorship
Over the years, Trey has been mentored by legendary figures such as Norrie Wright, David Leadbetter, and short game expert George Kelnhofer.
He has also served as a club professional at prestigious facilities including The Forest Country Club and Plantation. These experiences shaped his commitment to sharing his expertise with golfers of all skill levels.
Teaching Philosophy
Trey believes that while the golf swing is a simple movement, repeating it consistently can be challenging.
His teaching approach focuses on helping students understand the mechanics of the swing while remaining relaxed and confident. His goal is to make learning enjoyable and effective for every player.
